Vampire?  Eddie?  I have read many stories....Izzardnoire is full of them.   But Eddie...the thought danced around in my conscience...couldn't be true.
I usually file this sort of thing under fangirl fantasies....but something  kept nagging me.  He did have all the qualities....strong sex appeal, razor sharp wit, fashion sense to die for...and those eyes...steel blue that seem to see deep into your soul.

For months I tried to reason away the possibility...vampires just don't  exist any longer.  The search for eternal life a thing of the past.  Then I  read a notice that Eddie was coming to town for a one night only show.   Fortunate for my connection at the theater I got front row center...now to  see for myself if the stories were true.

As the night drew nearer I was filled with anticipation...would my search  finally be over?  Could this man hold the secret of eternal life?

I arrived at the theater just moments before curtain time....the air was  electrified.  I had attended many comedy shows but something was vastly  different tonight.  I looked around at the crowd...everyone seemed to be  anticipating the evening to come but nothing out of the ordinary.  I wonder  why all my nerve endings seem to be alive.

Music blared out of the speakers...in what has become an Eddie trademark,  almost more like a rock show than comedy show.

Then there he was...a vision before me in stiletto heels, black pvc pants,  royal blue velvet jacket and makeup done to perfection.  As the ovation died  down, like a shot Eddie was off and running.  Being front row was exhilarating.  Mesmerized by his presence I can hardly recall the set.  I was  aware of laughter and applause all around me but my body felt light and  airy...as if my soul had been taken away.  Hypnotized by his presence the  evening was over before I knew it.

As the house lights lifted and the crowd dispersed...I sat glued to my seat  trying to make sense of the evening.  Looking around I noticed that I was the  last one there...gathering my coat I got up to leave.  As I stood up I  realized that I wasn't completely alone...Eddie was standing right in front  of me...our eyes locked and he smiled wide...I caught the glint of his  beautiful teeth...I knew my search was over....

It was to be the first night of the rest of my life...
